Welcome to T & T Friesians

When Ted and Tina Vanderkooi immigrated to Ontario, Canada with family, they also took their Friesian horses. The horses owned by the Vanderkooi family have excellent bloodlines and the broodmares are all star with an unbroken dam line with star models and preferent. To date even all the offspring have become star.

The Vanderkooi family is addicted to the Friesian horse. The horses are all self-trained for pleasure use, riding and driving. On the farm many trails through the woods are used to enjoy the beauty of the horses several times a week. In the summer the Vanderkooi's ride and drive the horses while in the winter they use their sleigh for gorgeous rides through winterwonderland. For special occasion such as weddings and anniversaries a 100 year old Victorian style carriage is employed by the Vanderkooi's.

T & T Friesians currently have a membership with Friesian Horse Association of North America (FHANA), as well as a rapidly growing Ontario Chapter of FHANA called the Ontario Friesian Horse Association (OFHA). The OFHA wants to share the love and fun Friesian horse owners have with other members while introducing the breed to new people across the province. The Ontario club meets for riding and driving days several times each summer and also attends exhebitions such as the Can-Am and Royal Winter Fair.
